The Legal Aid Society of Monmouth County was established in 1952 by local Monmouth County attorneys together with community leaders to provide pro bono legal services to the indigent and handicapped residents of Monmouth County. The Society’s office is located at 2407 Route 66, Ocean, New Jersey.

The need and importance of the Legal Aid Society cannot be understated.  The clients whom we refer to pro bono attorneys are either indigent and or handicapped and are at the bottom rung of the economic ladder and would otherwise be without legal representation.  They represent a wide range of civil legal needs including Bankruptcy, Divorce, Child Custody, Child Support and Visitation, Family Law enforcement and modification, Domestic Violence Restraining Orders and Guardianship, and would otherwise be without legal representation.

The success of the Society strongly depends on the generosity of our volunteer attorneys and donations and outside funding from our community. Supporting the Society is as easy as shopping on Amazon Smile.  Of course, any donation, large or small, would also be greatly appreciated and, because the Society is a 501(c)(3) organization, your donation is tax deductible.
