The Legal Aid Society was established in 1952 by Monmouth County attorneys, together with community leaders, to provide pro bono legal services to qualified indigent residents of Monmouth County. The Society is a not for profit organization. The need and importance of the Legal Aid Society cannot be understated. The clients who are referred to pro bono attorneys are at the bottom rung of the economic ladder, represent a wide range of civil legal needs and, would otherwise be without legal representation. In the past 65 years the Society has been very successful in serving our mission and as a result of our efforts, we have helped improve the lives of many in our community. Our success strongly depends on the generosity of our volunteer attorneys as well as donations and outside funding from our community. Your help is greatly appreciated.
