“The Legal Aid Society of Monmouth County, celebrating 70 years of service, held its’ annual Wine Event Fundraiser at 4 JG’s Vineyards, Colts Neck”

OCEAN TOWNSHIP- The not-for-profit Legal Aid Society of Monmouth County celebrating 70 years of service to the community recently held its annual Wine Event fundraiser, held as a drive through vineyards tour at the historic 4 JG’s Vineyards in Colts Neck.

Every year since 2011 the Legal Aid Society has held this important fundraising event at the 4 JG’s Vineyards and, despite the pandemic, this year was no exception. Instead of having the customary on site reception with sampling of wines and harvest foods, the Society creatively held a scenic “driving tour” experienced safely distanced in the car, accompanied with a You Tube narration, to explore and fall in love with the vineyard’s natural beauty on a beautiful autumn evening. A sampling of harvest foods, sweets and, of course, a bottle of wine to enjoy at home, was given to the attendees as they drove through the vineyards enjoying the canopies of luscious grapes at their most magnificent harvest time. This important fundraising event, generously donated by John and Janet Giunco showcased their 4JGs award winning wines illustrated and its distinctive agricultural efforts to the community.

The proceeds from this annual event go to support the Legal Aid Society of Monmouth County, a non-profit organization established in 1950 by local Monmouth County lawyers and community leaders to provide pro bono legal services to indigent and handicapped residents of Monmouth County. For the past 70 years the Legal Aid Society has successfully implemented their mission of providing free legal services to those most in need for a wide range of civil matters including child support, child custody, divorce, foreclosure, bankruptcy and tenancy issues.
