Meet Our Director

Margaret A. Freeman, Esq. has been a family law trial attorney for over 42 years. For 25 years she worked in private practice representing clients of all income levels ranging from a member of the New York Giants to a time working for a nonprofit law firm. During that time, she was an Early Settlement panelist and a blue-ribbon panelist assisting the court in the settlement of matrimonial cases. She also worked as a prosecutor for Monmouth Beach, Fair Haven, and Little Silver. She then served as Senior Associate Counsel of the Monmouth County Division of Social Services for almost 18 years, working in child support, paternity, UIFSA, and Medicaid, and representing patients at commitment hearings. She recently became the Executive Director of the Legal Aid Society of Monmouth County where she obtains pro bono legal representation for indigent and low-income residents of Monmouth County. She has presented seminars on many topics including Domestic Violence, the Role of a CWA attorney, and Judgments, and presented before the Administrative Law Judges of New Jersey on the issue of promissory notes and bonds. Ms. Freeman has a B. A from Douglass College, Rutgers University, a J.D. from Albany Law School, Union University, and in 2006 went back to school to earn a Master of Arts in Teaching with a certification in English from Monmouth University.
